Tips from Martha
Estas são algumas dicas da minha amiga austríaca Martha, pena que ela não estará por lá durante minha viagem. Some tips for Vienna:
As you mention on your blog, there is the Kunsthaus (which is a museum with Hundertwasser exhibition on three floors and one floor on the top with a contemporary exhibition - the whole house is obviously built by Hundertwasser). In case you haven't found out yet, thought I'd mention that there is also the "Hundertwasserhaus" which is an apartment house built by Hundertwasser that you can only see from the outside, but it is very close to the museum, and worth a look: http://www.kunsthauswien.com/deutsch/hwh.htm or http://www.hundertwasserhaus.at/1st.html (only one pic on this site, it is under construction)

Think you already found out about the "Museumsquartier" (Ortner&Ortner built one of the museum, think either Leopold museum or the one next door) - nice permanent exhibitions (Schiele, Klimt, etc.) but also temporary exhibits.
Going to coffee-houses (Kaffeehaus) is one of the nicest and very traditional things to do in Vienna.
There is a newspaper that comes out every Thursday with all the cultural info: "Der Falter".
The first district "1. Bezirk" is the hart of Vienna, is almost the most expensive. My other favorite district is the 7. Bezirk, for example "Neubaugasse" is a lovely alternative shopping street with some designer shops, is a side street of the main shoppingstreet "Mariahilferstrasse" which start at the station "Westbahnhof" and ends at the border of the 1. Bezirk. Vienna is lovely to walk around endlessly... especially in the 1. and 7. Bezirk.
